It has garnered 21 million audience impressions in America on radio. 'Skyfall' is already number 16 on the building Adult Contemporary airplay chart, number 33 on Adult Pop Songs and number 37 on Pop Songs, reports Billboard.

The song is predicted to have sold between 200,000 and 250,000 copies between Friday (October 5) and Sunday (October 7), which marks the end of the tracking week.

Based on these sales, 'Skyfall' is expected to land at number four on the Digital Songs chart after strong download numbers from One Direction's 'Live While We're Young', Taylor Swift's 'Red' and PSY's 'Gangnam Style'.

All of these factors indicate that 'Skyfall' is on course for a strong placing on this week's Hot 100 chart, which will be announced on Thursday (October 11).

Meanwhile, Adele's 'Skyfall' reached number four on the UK singles chart after just 48 hours of being on sale.
